So finally the install is done. One is not supposed to install FreeNAS. You just run it from the USB. Simple as that.
Then it was trying to figure out how it all worked on the webpage. But now it all seems to run quite well.
A lot of time was waster fiddling with FreeBSD, but hopefully i learned something from all that. Somehow the computer does not feel like a PC anymore, but rather something more advanced. Advanced is good.
Now the only thing to do is to setup more monitoring, and adding my own scripts and cronjobs.
While copying all my data to the FreeNAS it was SLOW! It capped at 10MiB/s. So my switch is not up to its task. Someday i will have to buy a new one.
